What to Expect from this Blog
What does counselling involve? What should I expect? Will this individual be able to help me?
This blog invites to you to learn more about my specializations and therapeutic services. For over 20 years, I continue to provide counselling and therapy sessions to clients throughout Canada, whether it is in person, by phone, or Skype. From these sessions, I am aware of prevalent counselling themes that emerge from these sessions and the importance of finding creative methods to overcome these therapeutic issues.
In the coming months, I will talk about common therapeutic themes. I will offer a clear understanding and platform to either seek counselling or therapy for issues experienced in your life. Some of the themes will include:
The Versatility of the DIFT Framework
Maintaining Balance
Understanding Anxiety
Stress Management
What is Anger?
Resiliency Training
Parental Alienation Syndrome
Engaging Parenting Techniques
Improving Interpersonal Communication
The Link between Past Experiences and Current Mindset
Becoming Assertive in Different Parts of your Life
Stages of Grief and Bereavement
The Different Types of Trauma
Workplace Conflict Issues
Realizing and accepting the need to access help is perhaps the hardest part about seeking counselling/therapeutic assistance. But what would be more challenging, is living in denial or disbelief and internalizing all the negative emotions that are associated with your said therapeutic issue.
There may be pros and cons; however there is a sense of clarity that happens when you choose to speak with a counsellor or therapist, who will help you navigate options to improve your current mindset.
